China–US reciprocal tariff-reduction lists published; suspension extended to January 2027

On 28 September, MOFCOM published China–US reciprocal tariff-reduction lists: the US cuts tariffs on about USD 30bn of Chinese imports (77 tariff lines); China cuts tariffs on about USD 30bn of US imports (1,619 tariff lines).

The same day, MOFCOM explained the outcomes of the eighth round of China–US trade talks — consensus across ten areas including reciprocal tariff reduction, more direct flights and expanded coal trade — with certain tariff and non-tariff measures suspended until 10 January 2027.

Implementation dates follow the respective authorities' announcements.
